i waited longer than the Beatles, but finally, my self-released masterpiece “Antique Glow” is now on iTUNES. Originally vinyl only, in a handpainted edition of 300 – given as my gift to the world in September of 2001… But now 10 years later you can download it to your phone or ipod or computer or whatever and miss out on all the homespun charms of the original, and ignore the painstaking vinyl mastering work, but be able to listen to it in the background at parties or in the subway – HALLeLujah!

I had to cancel my february and march dates in australia, unfortunately. I hope to get back down under before the year is out… Meanwhile everyone there should go see sonny & the sunsets anyway – they rule !

I am glad to say that I was offered another opening slot for my heroes echo & the bunnymen on their upcoming USA tour in May. They are playing all of there first two albums CROCODILES & HEAVEN UP HERE – back to back. Ian McCulloch says its a masterclass in rock and roll and it truly is – the band and voice were at the height of their powers during the UK tour we did in December. Come see us:

[gallery link="file"]have safely returned from the frozen isle of Britain. it was a mess and some snow and ice made the country hard to travel and nearly impossible to leave. i was luckily booked in on the only flight going to the west coast that day and was glad to get out and home after 30 days away. thanks to all who came out to see us on our tour and to Echo & the Bunnymen for jamming good and having us along as support act. along the way TO DREAMERS was named 42nd best album of the year by Mojo Magazine – ahead of Roky Erickson, but behind Tom Jones. I’ll have a song on the Mojo cover mounted CD next month – my version of Harvest by Neil Young – there’s a bunch of modern artists doing the entire album… and a tour is in the works for Australia and maybe New Zealand in March – am opening for the Clean in Melbourne and playing some drums with Sonny & the Sunsets – more as it comes. Happy holidays one and all, great and small – see you in the new year.
